History of The Mantini Dental Practice
Dr. Vito E. Mantini founded the Mantini Dental Practice in June 1961. Upon his return to the area after serving two years in the United States Air Force, he purchased the Davidsville dental practice of Dr. Berkey. Dr. Vito Mantini was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, Class of 1959.
Dr. Vito Mantini ran his dental practice full-time until 1990. In 1990, he began practicing dentistry part-time until his retirement in March 1994.
Dr. Vito Mantini was joined in his dental practice by his nephews, Drs. Ernest and Rocco Mantini in 1983 and 1984, respectively. Both nephews are also graduates of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Ernest and Rocco aquired the Moxham dental practice in September 1984.
In April 2000, Drs. Ernest and Rocco Mantini broke ground on a new, 1600 square foot, state-of-the-art dental facility at 316 North Main Street in Davidsville, replacing the original building right next door. That new facility opened its doors on September 5, 2000. Drs Ernest and Rocco Mantini continue to practice in both Davidsville and Moxham and hope one day to pass on the dental practice to the next generation, as their uncle passed it on to them.
